AutoHotkey is a scripting language that is elegantly simple and yet unbelievably powerful. It can do almost anything on your PC. From providing simple keyboard shortcuts and remapping keys to automating repetitive tasks, AutoHotkey can help you avoid wrist pain from computer use. But before you can unlock the power of AHK, you need to install AutoHotkey on your computer. Here's how:
Install AutoHotkey:
Navigate to the AutoHotkey download site at https://autohotkey.com/.

Click on the Download button, then click on the installer button.

A pop-up window appears and click the Save File button.

Your browser will begin to download the installer.
After a few seconds, click on your browser's downloads button to show the completed download file.

Click on the AutoHotkeyxxxxxx_Install.exe to install AutoHotkey.

Depending on your computer, the UAC pop-up may show asking you if you want to allow AutoHotkey to make changes to your PC. Just click Yes.
Next you will see the AutoHotkey Setup window. Click on Express Installation.

It only takes a few seconds to install AutoHotkey. Once setup is complete, click on Run AutoHotkey.

A pop-up confirming that your script is running in the background will show up. Just click OK.

End the installation by clicking on Exit at the AutoHotkey Setup window.

There should be an icon of a white H with a green background in your system tray. That means you have successfully installed AutoHotkey and a script is running.
